Region 7 Summer Sizzler Clinic Report

Our first Region 7 Summer Sizzler, organized by RJOCC Linda Johnson, was held at Paragon Training Center in Fredericksburg, VA, on June 24 – 25, and was a huge success!  The facility was more than big enough for our almost 70 athletes, and impressed the clinicians with its versatility.  Our region is lucky enough to have great clinicians, great facilities, and wonderful athletes.  The kids worked hard both Saturday afternoon and all day Sunday, refining basics, working new skills, and approaching everything with enthusiasm.  It was a pleasure working with them. 

Sunday morning, the athletes all came dressed in their new “Region 7” leos, and they looked fantastic!  Thanks go to Diane Berry, Melanie Walker, and Marina Moure who all helped with apparel and prizes for the coaches and athletes!  More thanks go to Jackie Bier, who worked all weekend to make sure things ran smoothly, and to Ken Wood, for the use of his facility, and his help in arranging the skate party next door.
