to the website of Region VII Gymnastics! Region VII Gymnastics
is a diverse organization with over 1,200 professional members and 7,000 athlete members throughout Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and West Virginia ranging from small recreational gymnastic programs to those that produce Olympic athletes.
It is with such deep sadness that I share with you that Lynn Perrott, our Regional Chair, passed away earlier this evening. Richard, Lynn's husband, shared that she was surrounded by her family, and passed comfortably and peacefully.
Myra and I each had the opportunity to go to Lynn's home yesterday to spend precious time with her, and to say good-bye. That time meant the world to us. Lynn's family has been amazing—opening their hearts and home to so many friends and family.
Lynn knew how much we loved her and cared about her. Her family is so grateful for the support, caring thoughts and gestures from so many people in our Region 7 community.
Lynn will be sorely missed by everyone in the Region 7 Gymnastics community, and by gymnastics communities throughout the United States. We will remember her for her keen intelligence, sense of humor, wit and positive attitude, even in the face of her illness. She was an extraordinary leader for our region and, even more, a cherished friend.
We have not received any information about arrangements, and when we do we will pass it forward.
Please continue to keep Lynn's family in your thoughts and prayers.
Love and Peace,
Linda J and Myra

Stretch Across the Region - Support for Lynn!
December 8, 2014
Many people have asked how we can help Lynn and her family. We have created a great campaign for you to send your support called "Stretch Across the Region-Support for Lynn!".
Above are a couple of memorable photos from 2013 Region 7 Congress, when Lynn displayed her amazing flexibility in a split on the dance floor during the auction. She was drumming up support for Region 7, and now we're going to do the same for her! We're hoping we can send Lynn and her family a gift of our support to help them spend as much time with Lynn into and over the holidays, and help defray some of their costs relating to Lynn's extended illness. We will, undoubtedly, also be sending Lynn some great entertainment that will bring a smile, and distract her from her daily challenges!
It is easy to participate!
Send us a photo of you or your club members in "Lynn's split" (or your best attempt!!). Recruit athletes, class kids, coaches, judges, families, alumni—anyone who wants to participate! Photos should be sent to Myra Elfenbein at firstname.lastname@example.org or Linda Johnson at email@example.com so we can post them on our Facebook and Web page for Lynn to see!
Have each participant in (or attempting) a split donate $1.00 (you can certainly donate more if you like) and send your checks payable to "Region 7" with "Lynn" in the subject line. Checks should be sent to: Donna Guenther, SAC-PA
155 Philmont Avenue
Feasterville, PA 19053
All proceeds will go to Lynn and her family!
We are Region 7 Strong! When we reach 7,000 participants or $7,000, whichever comes first, Region 7 will match with a donation of $7,000!
We hope to reach our goal before Christmas so start stretching and send in those pics!!!
Thanks so much for your help and support, and best wishes for a wonderful holiday,
Linda Johnson, on behalf of the Region 7 Administrative Committee

Call for Bids for 2015 Region 7 Pre-Season Prep Training Camp
November 18, 2014
We are now accepting bids for the 2015 Region 7 Pre-Season Prep Training Camp scheduled for July 10-12, 2015. This camp is for Levels 8-10, and has a been very successful with bringing both technical and supplemental training for our athletes and coaches in Region 7. Hosting this event is an opportunity for a club to fundraise for your organization.
This camp runs from approximately 12pm on Friday through 4pm on Sunday. The Level 8 camp runs Friday to mid-Saturday, and the Level 9-10 camp runs mid-Saturday through Sunday. Each camp draws approximately 100 athletes and 35-50 coaches and judges.
Due to the size and offerings of the camp, it is recommended that there be a minimum of 2 floors available, plus auxiliary areas for supplemental events and training stations on each event for drills.
Interested clubs should submit the attached bid form via email to Linda Johnson, Region 7 JOCC (firstname.lastname@example.org), on or before January 10, 2015. If possible, please submit a floor plan of your facility and any supplemental information that will be helpful to the RAC when reviewing bids.
The Regional Administrative Committee will review bids and make a decision based on the size of the facility, equipment available, and experience with event organization.

Once again I am writing you to share an update on Lynn Perrott. Lynn (very) recently began experiencing abdominal discomfort and bloating, and was admitted to the hospital yesterday. The medical team found cancer cells in her peritoneal cavity, and are proposing an intensive in-hospital course of chemotherapy beginning as soon as possible. As you can imagine, this is a very stressful time for Lynn and her family.
Lynn is such a strong woman, as we have known for years, and as she displayed last year as she recovered from her surgery, infection and chemo. We will stay united and Region 7 Strong to support her through this new challenge. Please keep Lynn and her family in your thoughts and prayers.
Lynn mentioned to me several times this year how comforting and supportive your thoughts were while she courageously rallied back from her surgery last fall and underwent subsequent chemotherapy. I have no doubt that she will feel lifted and supported from hearing from you. Feel free to send cards and thoughts her way. I will keep you updated as I know more.
While Administrative business is not a priority right now in our hearts and minds, we (the Regional Committee) feel it is important to proactively set an interim plan in motion so that Lynn can focus on her recovery. Until further notice, please use the following points of contact for regional business:
Financial: Please send competition fees (with sanction, no scores needed), invoices and any other financial business to Donna Guenther, SAC PA. Checks should be payable to "USAG Region 7". Donna's address is 155 Philmont Avenue, Feasterville, PA 19053 or email email@example.com
Administrative business (regional or national): should be directed to Steve Garman, SAC VA at VAUSAG@gmail.com
As always, we will work together as a committee to respond to any issues or concerns.
Thank you all for your support and understanding during this time.
