	March 24, 2008 - Petitioning Information for 2008 In order to petition your gymnast to either Level 9 or 10 Regionals download this form and please follow the rules below: Only three sheets of paper are necessary for faxing. We need only ONE score of a 35.00AA or better. We need the Region 7 Injury Petition Form completely filled out. Look at this Region 7 website under Resources - Forms on the left. We need a doctor’s note with a date of return to gymnastics activity. Please do NOT fax any forms without a definite date of return. These petitions cannot be approved. Faxing Information: Please fax petitions to 301-490-6240 I know most of you will be finished your state meets the weekend of 3/29-30. This means that all injury petition forms need to be in by Wednesday, April 2nd. For the New Jersey people, those petition forms for Level 10 gymnasts need to be faxed to me by April 9th.

	February 27, 2008 - 2009 REGIONAL MEETS BIDS REQUESTED Bids for the following meets are requested: Level 9 Regionals – April 17-19, 2009 (three day meet) Level 10 Regionals – April 25-26, 2009 Level 8 Regionals – May 2-3, 2009
	February 27, 2008 - There will be no SACC elections this year in Region 7, as all current state chairs were the only people nominated.

2008 REGION 7 SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION

2008 Region 7 Scholarship applications are now available. These two scholarships, each $1,000, will be awarded to gymnasts who will NOT be continuing their competitive gymnastics at the NCAA level.

INFORMATION regarding Olympic Trials tickets, Hotel reservations and National Congress!!!!!

National Congress & Trade Show registration will be online by mid- December

National Congress form will be on the website to download as soon as we go live with the online registration.

Congress registration form will include ability to order tickets – will be in the January and subsequent issues of Technique

National Congress attendees will be able to order discounted tickets with their congress registration. Special pricing for congress attendees

There will be special pricing package for public transportation during the Congress and Trials time. No need to rent a car.

Hotel reservations – they may begin reserving their hotel rooms on December 17 and thereafter. Contact NTS beginning 12/17.

The Marriott Hotel is the National Congress & Trade Show hotel headquarters. At this time we are only offering this one hotel for special rates.

Pre and post congress events such as Business Conference, safety course, H.O.T. course, women’s SC/RC workshop, National NAWGJ board meeting and SD/RJD workshop, Congress Dance party will take place at the Marriott hotel.

We do not release where the delegation will stay during the event.

Hall of Fame Ceremony and Luncheon will take place on Sunday, June 22. Class of 2008 will be announced in January.

National Congress & Trade Show will take place Thursday through Saturday, June 19 – 21, 2008

U.S. Olympic Team Trials – Gymnastics will take place Thursday through Sunday, June 19 – 22, 2008.
